Microsoft ha ribattezzato WinFX come “.Net Framework 3.0″ (che fantasia). .Net Framework 3.0 include le tecnologie Windows Communications Foundation (Indigo), Windows Presentation Foundation (Avalon), Windows Workflow Foundation (WinOE) e Windows Cardspace (noto come InfoCard).
